Unique apartments in Rome with panoramic views

There are very few apartments with panoramic views of Rome, but when planning a trip in advance you have a unique chance to observe the Eternal City from the most beautiful angle.

The cost of renting an apartment is from 120 to 250 euros per day, which is comparable with a good hotel in the center. If you are traveling with a family or company of up to 6 people, then living in such apartments will be even more profitable.

If you want to rent one of the described apartments a week or longer, then it is worth taking care of the reservation at least three months in advance.

The article presents the apartments in which I would stay with pleasure myself, if I had not lived permanently in Rome, but came here as a tourist. And also I took into account the location, the apartment must be in the center, it should be convenient to walk from it to other attractions and good restaurants. I advise you to read an article about the center of Rome.

I share with you my finds on the Airbnb.com apartment rental service:

Living above the ancient Amphitheater

Just imagine that in Rome there is an amphitheater 92 years older than the Coliseum and you can settle right above it! The Marcellus Theater (Teatro di Marcello), built back in 12 BC, today houses luxurious apartments.

In the 16th century, the remains of the theater were the basis for the construction of the residence of the noble and wealthy Orsini family, which remained the owner of this building through the 30s of the 20th century.

Today, anyone can rent an apartment that accommodates 6 guests, consists of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for only 250 euros per day. During our author’s excursions at dawn, we admire the amphitheater from the observation deck on Capitol Hill and absolutely all tourists are surprised to learn about the opportunity to live above the theater now.

Perhaps I will also make a present for myself and move to the Marcellus Theater for a couple of days, spend the night over an amphitheater that is over 2000 years old!

View of the Spanish Steps

The apartment with its own terrace, incredibly beautiful view of the Spanish Steps can accommodate only a couple of people. For romantics in love and just appreciating beauty, accommodation will cost only 150 euros per day.

  • Tip: take a bottle of wine, prosciutto, cheese at the nearest supermarket and spend the evening with your loved one on the terrace - you will remember it for life.

Pantheon view

As you already know from the article, the Pantheon is located in the historical center and is equidistant from most of the main attractions. Living in an apartment overlooking the Pantheon is not only beautiful, but also incredibly convenient. Trastevere is just a 20-minute walk away.

The apartment consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, can accommodate a company of up to 6 people, will cost you only 240 euros per day. There is a private terrace for evening enjoyment of the view of the Eternal City.

Panorama of Rome from Pincho Hill

If you climb the steps of the Spanish Steps, from the hill of Pincho you will see a view of one of the most beautiful panoramas of Rome.

Imagine that this panorama is available only to you from a penthouse designed for 5 people, costing only 175 euros per night.

  • Alternative: in the neighboring hotel Hassler a 2-bed room with a similar view will cost you from 600 euros per day.

On the hill of Pincho there is also an excellent apartment for 150 euros, designed for a maximum of 4 people.

Near the forum of Trajan

Near the forum of Trajan, built in the 2nd century AD, several unique apartments are for rent. Atmospheric place is hard to imagine. History buffs will love it!

For 170 euros, you can rent an apartment for two with a view of the market and the forum of Trajan, the street of the Imperial forums, as well as the Altar of the Fatherland.

Neighboring apartments with a balcony overlooking the Forums, the Coliseum and the Altar of the Fatherland will cost a company of 4 people 255 euros per day. Usually they are busy for many months to come.

And, finally, an apartment for 4 with its own terrace - this accommodation option, along with the first described above at the Marcello Theater, is closer to me more than the others.

For only 135 euros per day, you get the opportunity, while drinking wine with friends, to sit in the evening on your own terrace enjoying the atmosphere of the old city - this is Italy for me.

What if all the apartments are occupied on the right dates? Read articles about other apartments, as well as the best hotels in Rome 4 stars and 5 stars.

Where to have fun in the center of Cologne?

The city center is not the most suitable district for fun in Cologne. At best, you will be able to find some good bars here. Most restaurants are designed for hungry shoppers who dine here throughout the day. But in the evenings, restaurants also work. You will be pleased to take a break from the crowds of tourists flooding the Old Town.
