If you have early eviction or late check-in and your hotel / apartment does not provide luggage storage, you can leave your personal belongings in one of the lockers in the center of Rome. There are 5 lockers in Rome in total and one more is located at Fiumicino Airport - on the map below you can find the closest to your place of residence.

In the area of Trastevere

Luggage storage in the Trastevere district is located at Vicolo di Santa Margherita, 5 - it is next to Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere.

The storage cost is 2 euros / hour for one chamber in which up to 4 suitcases are placed. Opening hours from 8 am to 8 pm. The cameras are fully automatic, you will need a credit card to pay. You can reserve a cell in advance on the company's website.

At Termini Station

At Termini Station, a luggage room is open every day from 6:00 to 23:00. The cameras are located on Via Giolitti, behind the Coin store if you go from the main entrance. Inside the train station, follow the signs for Ritiro bagagli (Baggage claim).

  • Cost: for each bag, 6 euros for the first 5 hours, 0.90 euros / hour for the 6th to 12th hour, and 0.40 euros for each hour after.

For example, if you leave 2 suitcases for 8 hours, then the storage cost will be 2x (6 + 3 × 0.9) = 17.4 euros.

It makes sense to leave your luggage at Termini if you arrived early in the morning and before checking into the hotel you want to walk around Rome at dawn. I advise you to read: how to choose a hotel near Termini
