Museums night in Italy: museums worth a glimpse

The Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Cultural Activities and Tourism provides a unique opportunity for residents and guests of the country to visit art and cultural sites for free on December 28, 2013. Moreover, as indicated on the official website of the Ministry, during the day all state museums will work until nightfall.

Massimo Bray, the head of the department, explains that the traditional “Museum Night” is designed to draw the attention of Italians and tourists to the cultural and historical heritage of the country.

The “Night of Museums" has already become a tradition: for six years now, on New Year's Eve, the country's historical and cultural objects are opened to all comers. With all the variety of museums in various cities of Italy, it’s hard to choose which one is worth a look on December 28:
