Pfunda Dairy Store

Pfunda Dairy Store is a striking landmark in Dresden. It is even listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most beautiful dairy store in the world.

How it all started

The history of the origin of the Pfunds Molkerei Dresden in Dresden began in 1879. One local peasant suggested producing fresh and hygienically pure milk. He opened an amazing dairy store in which everyone could see the process of milk production. There were six cows in the store's premises, which were regularly milked by employees of the shopping pavilion. And then fresh milk was prepared for further sale.

From the very beginning, the profit from milk sales was not very large. But over time, when more people learned about the store, revenues increased 4 times. The store began to be called the Pfund Brothers Dresden Dairy, and the family milk business began to be handed down from generation to generation.

Later, in the trade pavilion, in addition to milk, milk soap, baby food and condensed milk were also sold. Pfund was its first producer in Germany.

The most beautiful dairy store in the world

The store that we see today was built in 1891. It is tiled in neo-Renaissance style. The store survived the bombing of Dresden. In 1972, it became the property of the state, but in 1978 it was closed. In the 90s of the last century, the tradition was renewed. Today, dairy products are sold here and cheese tastings are held.

Everything is very simple - look not only at the booking. I prefer the search engine RoomGuru. He is looking for discounts at the same time on Booking and on 70 other booking sites.

Review of roman restaurant La Viletta

La Viletta restaurant, which is a trattoria-pizzeria, we accidentally discovered in early April while walking around the Roman district of Trastevere with our guests from South Africa, Chibon and Mile. I was pleasantly surprised by the hospitality of the owner, who not only did not forbid taking pictures against the background of his establishment, but also tried his best to give the appearance more harmony by opening the doors.

The best pizzerias in Rome

What do you want a spree tourist? Right, eat! What to eat in Rome? Right, pizza! Skillful cooks turn a piece of dough with something up there into a true poem. Tender and elastic dough is infused for three days, pizza is baked in a wood oven. The rejection of this method of baking was once one of the conditions for Italy to be admitted to the European Union.

Best Pastry Shops in Rome

I once dreamed of becoming a pastry chef and even learned this, so the words "shu", "chibust" and "biscuit" are not an empty phrase for me, the most unpleasant thing about this is increased demandingness, I can drive my nose through the window for half an hour and don’t buy anything , unpleasant tiramisu, which added cream, because we are not in America, and to bypass even the most comfortable coffee houses, if they have tasteless brioches and cornetti.

Sunday lunch in Rome or how I ate at Momo Republic

Want to find out where Italians themselves dine on Sundays in Rome? Today gluttony, extravaganza of tastes, feast and triumph of Italian cuisine are on the agenda. On Sundays from 13:00 to 15:30, the Mo Mo Rebublic restaurant hosts a meal called brunch, but in fact our lunch. Branch (English brunch, formed by the merger of the two English words breakfast and lunch, originally a slang of British students) - in the United States and Europe, eating, combining breakfast and lunch.
