The pope accidentally cursed while preaching

Pope Francis does not cease to amaze everyone and everything. So yesterday, the popular pontiff again hit the front pages of newspapers.

This time, Francis was in the center of a little embarrassment: during the sermon, the clergyman accidentally inserted into his speech the strong Italian word cazzo, which is the equivalent of the Russian curse “*****”.

Francis, who lived in Argentina before his papacy, had not yet mastered all the subtleties of the language used in sermons and speeches, so his reservation could well be forgiven.

The ill-fated word flew out from the heir to the Holy See instead of the planned caso (case), and despite the fact that Francis immediately corrected himself, he still became the subject of jokes flying around the Internet in just a few hours. So, for example, one Italian in the comments on the video recording with the reservation of the Pope wrote: “This is so funny! Pope Francis is simply shocked! ", While another user of the Youtube service replied:" What a blunder! However, this disclaimer shows that the Pope is the same person as each of us. ”

The head of the Catholic Church also found many comforters who sympathized with Francis, agreeing that learning a foreign language has many pitfalls.

The Pope made an unfortunate mistake during his conversion, when he called for a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine.

Speaking from the balcony of his apartment in the Apostolic Palace in the Vatican, the 77-year-old priest said: “I want all the constituents of the country to come together to overcome differences and build the future of the nation. I wholeheartedly appeal to the international community to support every action based on dialogue and harmony. A heart aspiring to profit is empty for God. And that is why Jesus repeatedly rebuked the rich, as they too often seek salvation in the riches of this world. In this cazzo, caso, the providence of God became apparent. ”

Despite the fact that the Pope quickly corrected himself, the townspeople present at the pontiff's appeal immediately exchanged surprised looks, asking each other whether they heard that the head of the Catholic Church had just uttered a swear word.

An hour later, a disclaimer video was published on sites and forums. Francis himself decided to turn to Internet users in the usual way for them: write to Twitter. This time he preferred to use the more familiar English language:

“There are mistakes in everyone’s life. So let's learn to recognize them and ask for forgiveness, ”the pontiff wrote.

It is worth noting that Pope Francis intends to become even closer to the people, namely to youth and advanced Internet users. So, recently it became known that on the social network Facebook will soon appear its own page of the pontiff. Some sources claim that at the moment the new account of the clergyman is undergoing all necessary checks, and experts are looking for ways to prevent the use of obscene comments on the Francis page.
